Requirements include an active NC law license, experience in workers' comp and related civil litigation, and excellent client communication.

Qualifications

Active North Carolina law license in good standing.
Experience in workers' compensation, civil litigation, insurance defense, plaintiff-side advocacy, or related.
Claimant-side workers' compensation experience preferred.
Strong negotiation, advocacy, writing, and client communication skills.
Ability to independently manage a caseload and deadlines.

Responsibilities

Manage workers' compensation claims from initial evaluation through resolution.
Develop case strategy and evaluate medical, wage, disability, and causation evidence.
Draft and file claims, motions, discovery, briefs, and settlement documents.
Represent clients in depositions, mediations, hearings, and settlement conferences.
Negotiate with employers, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel.
Maintain strong client communication throughout the life of the claim.
Collaborate with paralegals and legal support staff to keep cases moving forward.
