Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Head of North America Workshop Operations to lead and develop our workshop operations across North America. You will guide Production Unit managers, foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement, and be responsible for financial and operational performance across the workshops.

You will oversee capacity, production, quality, inventory and delivery, drive Lean initiatives, and collaborate with stakeholders to optimize the workshop footprint and investment priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in operations or a similar environment.
• Fluent in English; willing to travel nationally and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead Production Unit managers and support functions across North America.
• Promote safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE, operational and quality standards.
• Deliver financial targets and drive profitability and cost efficiency.
• Oversee capacity, production, quality, inventory and delivery across the workshop network.
• Drive Operational Excellence, Lean and continuous improvement to shorten lead times and improve quality.
• Develop long-term operational roadmap, footprint and investment priorities.
• Collaborate to improve supply chain performance and procurement savings.
• Ensure root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality and safety issues.

Education
