Job summary

ONE is seeking a Social Media and Design Coordinator (North America) to manage and adapt content for Canada and the United States, reporting to the Media Relations Manager. Based in Ottawa or Washington, DC, you will shape rapid-response content and ensure messages resonate with each audience.

You will craft bilingual social copy, design materials, monitor trends, support owned channels, and collaborate with teams across Europe and Africa to tailor global material for North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred in political science, communications, or similar.
• At least 1 year of relevant professional or internship experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Canva, X/Twitter, Meta platforms.
• Basic design capabilities and video creation/editing are a strong asset.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Experience or interest in poverty, infectious disease alleviation, advocacy.
• Authorization to work in Canada or the United States required.

Responsibilities

• Draft, schedule, and publish social content in English and French.
• Design and format campaign materials and social assets.
• Contribute to rapid-response content for policy news.
• Draft social copy with advocacy asks.
• Monitor trends and propose native formats.
• Support owned channels and repurpose material.
• Moderate comments and engagement; flag risks.
• Track and report social performance; translate metrics.
• Develop ideas for campaigns and collaborate with global teams.
• Adapt global material for North American audiences.
