Job summary

INNIO Group in the United States seeks a Director of Procurement for Jenbacher North America. You will lead Direct Material Procurement across multiple leadership levels, shaping strategy, strengthening capabilities, and delivering resilient supply and sustainable financial performance in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, SCM or related field; Master’s or MBA a plus.
• 10+ years of procurement, sourcing, or similar in a complex industrial setting.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams of 10+ employees.
• Experience in reciprocating engine, energy, power generation or large equipment manufacturing industries.
• Strong track record in procurement strategy, supplier negotiations, commercial management, and cost optimization.
• Advanced experience in contract negotiation, market and supplier analysis, and ERP tools.
• Strong financial acumen, structured working style, and results-driven mindset.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the North America Direct Material Procurement team (~15 employees).
• Define and execute procurement and category strategies to meet production and financial targets.
• Translate market developments into sourcing decisions to enhance resilience and value.
• Develop market intelligence tools to support negotiations and planning.
• Ensure robust supplier evaluation and selection processes for excellence.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and key supplier negotiations.
• Review and approve supplier agreements ensuring favorable terms.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations for regulatory and quality compliance.
