Job summary

EssilorLuxottica is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee North America payroll processing for US, Puerto Rico and Canada. You will lead a dedicated payroll team, maintain SOPs, and ensure accurate processing for new hires and terminations while maintaining strict confidentiality.

The role requires deep payroll knowledge, strong leadership, and the ability to collaborate with Benefits, HRBP, Legal, Compliance, IT, and external vendors across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ year’s payroll experience, specifically with reporting, data analysis, payroll processing and auditing.
• Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Leadership, initiative, analytic, investigative and attention to detail skills.
• Trustworthiness with confidential information.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications.
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of management, staff, customers, and vendors.
• Strong organization skills including the ability to delegate and prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Lead US, Puerto Rico and Canada payroll disbursements including garnishments, benefits and taxes in line with wage and hour laws.
• Manage and develop payroll processing team.
• Maintain and update payroll SOPs.
• Ensure accurate processing of new hires, temporary workers, transfers, promotions and terminations.
• Collaborate with leadership on team assignments and payroll matters; coordinate with Benefits, HRBP, Legal, Compliance, Store Ops, Accounting and IT and external vendors.
• Maintain confidential records and inquiries.
• Adhere to payroll and HR policies; understand PTO, sick leave and holidays for accruals.
• Ensure compliance with state/local/federal laws and regulations.
• Support leadership with audits and ad hoc requests.
• Oversee payroll data reviews and error resolution per state regulations.
• Oversee ticket resolution timeliness per SLAs.
• Assist in setting up standard and ad hoc reports for legal, compliance, tax and partners.
