Job summary

Mimecast is seeking a Director-level Field CISO to lead advisory and security guidance for our strategic North American accounts. Based in Lexington, MA or Minneapolis, MN with two days in the office, you will translate security strategy into measurable business outcomes for C-suite stakeholders.

You will drive thought leadership, represent Mimecast at conferences, and shape a regional security narrative that aligns with Mimecast’s global Field CISO goals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise information security leadership with 3+ years as CISO or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/cybersecurity; Master’s preferred
• Advanced certifications: CISSP, CRISC, CISM, GIAC or equivalent
• Proven ability to engage and influence C‑suite and board audiences
• Experience in U.S. and Canadian markets with cross‑cultural fluency
• Director‑level, highly self‑directed, without day‑to‑day management oversight

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor to CISOs, CTOs, and board stakeholders across top accounts
• Lead insider risk strategy, Incydr deployment, AI risk, and enterprise risk frameworks
• Represent Mimecast at major security conferences and publish thought leadership
• Collaborate with sales to accelerate deals and expand platform adoption
