Job summary

Mimecast is seeking a Director-level Field CISO based in Columbus, Ohio, serving as a trusted advisor to CISOs, CTOs, and boards across North America. You will shape insider risk programs, manage AI governance, and guide enterprise risk strategy while supporting audits and regulatory programs.

You will represent Mimecast at major security conferences, author thought leadership, and partner with sales on strategic deals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise information security leadership experience
• At least 3 years as a CISO, VP Security, or equivalent in an enterprise
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s preferred
• CISSP, CRISC, CISM, GCEIT, GIAC or equivalent certifications
• Ability to engage and influence C-suite and board audiences across North America

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to CISOs, CTOs, and board-level stakeholders across the Americas.
• Guide insider risk strategy, Incydr deployment, AI governance and enterprise risk frameworks.
• Support audits, regulatory examinations, and compliance programs (SOC 2, HIPAA, GLBA, NYDFS, PIPEDA).
• Represent Mimecast at major North American security conferences and events.
• Author whitepapers, research reports, and opinion pieces on human risk and security topics.
• Collaborate with sales on security-sensitive enterprise deals to shorten cycles and lift win rates.
