National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, Pa. seeks a senior Catastrophe Portfolio Modeling Manager for North America. The role leads modelling for Commercial and Specialty lines and partners with underwriters to shape portfolio strategy.

You will develop automated reporting frameworks and contribute to planning, budgeting, and risk management across NA operations. Strong technical skills and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in an analytical field; CPCU is a bonus.
• 7+ years of catastrophe portfolio modelling experience, preferably RMS/AIR.
• Strong SQL, programming in R or Python, and Excel automation.
• Experience with reinsurance modelling tools such as Metarisk/Remetrica/Igloo.
• Knowledge of property insurance and reinsurance concepts.
• Ability to translate complex modelling results for underwriters and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead catastrophe portfolio modelling for North America Commercial and Specialty lines.
• Build strong relationships with underwriters and portfolio managers.
• Develop automation for processing and reporting across NA business units.
• Collaborate on portfolio optimization, budgeting, and business planning.
• Interface with brokers, MGAs, and catastrophe analytics partners.
• Support regulatory reporting and internal capital modelling as needed.
