Job description

As part of IMM Hydraulics’ strategic expansion in North America, operating commercially under the Interpump Fluid Solutions brand, we are strengthening our presence in the US market to bring our high pressure hose and fittings solutions closer to major OEMs and distributors.

Throughout the United States, Interpump Fluid Solutions is the brand through which IMM Hydraulics promotes its offering, representing the group’s commitment to provide integrated, reliable and technically advanced hydraulic fluid conveyance solutions.

The North America Business Development Director will support this development, working across both the OEM and Distribution segments. The role requires collaboration with the Italian headquarters, the European production sites and the Interpump Group owned distributor, Muncie Power Products, located in Muncie, Indiana.

This is a position for a motivated and dynamic professional, experience in the fluid conveyance products sector and with the ambition to grow into a broader business leadership role. The position requires the ability to work independently in the field, while collaborating with Italian headquarters, the European production sites, Muncie Power Products, and with the Italian commercial and technical teams.

Mission and Responsibilities

1. Support Business Development in the OEM Segment

  • Contribute to building relationships with key OEM customers across North America under the Interpump Fluid Solutions brand.
  • Follow up on current projects and support the development of new business opportunities through technical coordination with the Italian HQ and production sites.
  • When local assembly is not the right fit for specific projects, help identify and engage third-party assemblers or distributors that could integrate our products into their offer.

2. Develop New Distribution Partners in North America

  • Lead in developing new relationships with major aftermarket distributors in North America.
  • Coordinate closely with the Muncie Power team to ensure activities remain consistent with their existing network and avoid potential overlaps.
  • Leverage existing distribution relationships with other Interpump Group companies.

How the Role Will Operate

  • Reporting directly to the IMM Hydraulics CEO (Italy HQ)
  • Close collaboration with the Italian IMM/IFS Sales manager, product management, and technical teams, ensuring alignment on project development and product offering.
  • The role will be supported by an experienced engineer relocating from Italy to the US, dedicated to technical development activities with OEM customers.

Profile and Key Competencies

  • Some experience (ideally 3-5 years) in business development, sales, key account management, or technical-commercial roles, preferably within the fluid power, hydraulics or industrial components sector. Experience in the hydraulic hose and fittings market is required.
  • Good understanding of the OEM and aftermarket dynamics in the North American market.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities and actively collaborate with local and international teams.
  • Solid communication and relationship-building skills, with a natural inclination to teamwork and cross-functional cooperation.
  • Technical background or interest in hydraulic systems and components will be considered a plus.
  • Growth mindset: willingness to learn, take on increasing responsibilities and develop into a broader leadership role over time.
