Job description

Are you a strategic business development leader with deep experience in software QA and a passion for the automotive industry?

We’re looking for a Director of Business Development to join a global video game and services provider and lead growth efforts across software quality assurance within the automotive space. This is a full-time, permanent role with remote working flexibility.

In this position, you’ll play a key role in driving new business across a fast-growing service line, building relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and software developers across the automotive sector. You’ll also lead and mentor a small global team of Business Development Managers, ensuring performance targets are exceeded while supporting cross-selling and long-term client success.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with a consultative sales mindset, experience in software QA, and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders across technical and operational functions. You’ll be client-facing, collaborative, and focused on strategic revenue growth.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading new business sales for automotive software QA services across North America and globally

  • Building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders across automotive OEMs, suppliers, and software development firms

  • Developing tailored QA solutions aligned with client requirements, technical standards, and industry regulations

  • Presenting QA offerings in response to client briefs and opportunities

  • Managing contract negotiations and the full sales lifecycle from prospecting to closing

  • Collaborating closely with delivery and support teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service alignment

  • Leading, mentoring, and coaching a team of global Business Development Managers to exceed targets

  • Attending industry events, client meetings, and trade shows to build presence and generate leads

What we’re looking for

  • 5–7 years of business development or sales experience in software, QA, or the automotive sector

  • At least 2 years in a leadership or team management role

  • A strong understanding of software quality assurance processes and industry standards

  • Proven ability to generate and convert leads through relationship-building and consultative selling

  • Skilled in client communication, stakeholder management, and contract negotiation

  • Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving, organisational, and mentoring abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field

  • Willingness to travel as needed to support client meetings and event attendance
