Are you a strategic business development leader with deep experience in software QA and a passion for the automotive industry?
We’re looking for a Director of Business Development to join a global video game and services provider and lead growth efforts across software quality assurance within the automotive space. This is a full-time, permanent role with remote working flexibility.
In this position, you’ll play a key role in driving new business across a fast-growing service line, building relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and software developers across the automotive sector. You’ll also lead and mentor a small global team of Business Development Managers, ensuring performance targets are exceeded while supporting cross-selling and long-term client success.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with a consultative sales mindset, experience in software QA, and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders across technical and operational functions. You’ll be client-facing, collaborative, and focused on strategic revenue growth.
What you’ll be doing
Leading new business sales for automotive software QA services across North America and globally
Building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders across automotive OEMs, suppliers, and software development firms
Developing tailored QA solutions aligned with client requirements, technical standards, and industry regulations
Presenting QA offerings in response to client briefs and opportunities
Managing contract negotiations and the full sales lifecycle from prospecting to closing
Collaborating closely with delivery and support teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service alignment
Leading, mentoring, and coaching a team of global Business Development Managers to exceed targets
Attending industry events, client meetings, and trade shows to build presence and generate leads
What we’re looking for
5–7 years of business development or sales experience in software, QA, or the automotive sector
At least 2 years in a leadership or team management role
A strong understanding of software quality assurance processes and industry standards
Proven ability to generate and convert leads through relationship-building and consultative selling
Skilled in client communication, stakeholder management, and contract negotiation
Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving, organisational, and mentoring abilities
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
Willingness to travel as needed to support client meetings and event attendance
