Job summary

Wise, a global technology company, is seeking a Director of Business Operations for North America to design and execute the regional operational strategy. You will lead a team of BizOps managers and partner with product teams to scale servicing across the region, including Austin, with a focus on efficiency and growth.

The role requires senior leadership experience in FinTech or banks, strong regulatory and board interaction, and a data-driven mindset to deliver KPIs and strategic improvements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of senior operational leadership in FinTech or US banks.
• Experience scaling in product-driven environments.
• Experience representing operations to regulators and a board of directors.
• Analytical and data-driven, with KPI mastery.
• Strong knowledge of US market laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the North American operational strategy and oversee a matrixed workforce across Austin and international hubs.
• Manage and develop a small team of BizOps managers to deliver key improvements.
• Represent operations to regulators and the regional board with credibility.
• Partner with product teams to design servicing solutions for scale and new markets.
• Build local leadership, hire talent, and define hybrid-work processes.
