Job summary

PennEngineering is seeking a Program Manager – Automotive, North America to lead multiple automotive fastener programs from RFQ to post-launch handover. You will own master launch timelines, chair gate reviews, align resources, and communicate progress to stakeholders across North America.

The role requires strong leadership, IATF 16949/APQP knowledge, and travel up to 30%. Join a team focused on delivering high-quality, on-time parts to OEMs and Tier suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management or similar field / equivalent tangible experience.
• Minimum five years of experience in a production, engineering or project management role, including automotive programs at Tier 1/2 suppliers.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 and APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA and PPAP submission levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop plans that meet the objectives of each program.
• Manage relationships with internal departments, stakeholders, external parties and customers.
• Monitor and report on program progress, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Chair gate reviews and approve or conditionally approve gates.
• Maintain the master launch timeline relative to SOP and PPAP dates.
• Lead cross-functional program teams and align owners to exit criteria.
• Escalate gate holds and schedule risks promptly.
• Oversee program documentation and archiving for future reference.
