Job summary

Nutrien Ag Solutions, Inc. is seeking a senior agronomy leader to build and run a centralized agronomy function for the North American Downstream network.

You will synthesize agronomic knowledge with commercial acumen to deliver integrated service to leaders, consultants, growers and wholesalers. You will lead a high-performing team, drive adoption of a unified agronomic approach, promote science-based solutions, and ensure a safe, compliant and customer-centered experience across the

Qualifications

• Master’s degree is required in a related agronomy field.
• 15 years of progressive experience in agriculture with 10 years of leadership experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel 30% to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead Nutrien’s enterprise agronomy strategy for the North American Downstream network.
• Assess and oversee utilization of third-party agronomic contracts, tools, and resources.
• Foster effective business partnerships, ensuring alignment across Downstream.
• Drive value-added services with data and science-based solutions.
• Partner with Wholesale leadership to promote benefits of commodity fertilizer products.
• Lead change management to achieve alignment, growth and improved Downstream performance.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team through coaching and performance management.
• Promote activities to drive employee engagement and culture of core values.
• Aid leaders in identifying organizational risk and ensure compliance with laws and policies.
• Lead budget planning and financial accountability across reporting teams.
