Job summary

Pride Global (and its affiliates, including Russell Tobin) seeks a mechanically minded technician to develop specialized nonwovens processes and products. You will work with roll-to-roll web processing, fiber processing, and compounding in a team-driven setting.

Responsibilities include piloting equipment, material characterization, and maintaining records while upholding safety. High school diploma required; associate degree preferred; lifting up to 50 lbs and PPE may be required.

Qualifications

  • At least one year technician experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
  • At least one year experience on manufacturing equipment or in a trades role.
  • Associate's Degree or 2-year technical program certificate in mechanical/electrical/materials/process engineering or similar field.
  • Two or more years of experience in nonwovens or fiber processing, web processing, or roll-to-roll processing.
  • Two or more years of experience in process or product development using 5S, Six Sigma, SPC, or similar methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, operate, and maintain pilot-scale nonwoven process equipment.
  • Measure properties of nonwoven materials off the production line.
  • Maintain detailed records and communicate technical results.
  • Follow and develop standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Material handling including lifting 50 lbs and using PPE.

Strong written and verbal communicatie

Mechanical aptitude

Education

Associate's Degree or 2-year technical program in engineering or related field
