Job summary

White Oak Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced Monitor Technician for the Central Telemetry Unit. You will document rhythms, monitor strips, and report changes to nursing staff across three 12-hour day shifts.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and completion of a Monitor Technician program within six months. Non-exempt, benefits eligible, with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Monitor Technician Program within 6 months of hire.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Proficiency in dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document rhythm on EKG flow sheet and report changes to nurse.
• Obtain strips on irregularities and monitor strips at shift start.
• Maintain monitoring equipment and alarm limits.
• Provide patient reports to oncoming technicians and relief staff.
• Participate in quality improvement teams.
