Job summary

Ottumwa Regional Health Center is seeking a Telemetry/Monitor Technician to monitor patients' heart rhythms and respond to alarms during nighttime shifts.

This full-time night position uses a 3x12 schedule (7p-7a) with rotating weekends, and duties include telemetry interpretation, taking measurements, and reporting abnormalities to nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience preferred.

Telemetry/Monitor Technician

Job Type: Full-Time, Nights

Our Telemetry/Monitor Technician supports patient monitoring and alarm response during nighttime shifts.

How you'll contribute

Cardiac Monitor Technicians are responsible for utilizing telemetry monitoring equipment to watch several patients' heart rhythms, observe and respond to alarms, and report abnormalities to nursing staff. They also obtain measurements from telemetry strips and may perform tasks requiring pharmaceutical access, but will not be granted access to automated dispensing machines.

What we're looking for

Education

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Completion of an orientation
• Completion of telemetry interpretation competency

Experience

• Preferred: prior experience as a Monitor Technician; health care experience required.

Certificate/License

• CNA, EMT‑B, CRRT, Unit Secretary, LPN, OR RN - Preferred
