The Professional Association of Canadian Theatres (PACT) seeks a National Business Manager to oversee financial and administrative functions supporting Canada's theatre sector. Remote work across Canada with Toronto-based base; collaborate with the ED and staff to ensure timely budgeting, reporting, payroll and compliance.

This pro-rated 0.8 FTE, one-year term offers a structured environment, group benefits, paid vacation and sick days; ideal for candidates with nonprofit accounting experience

Qualificações

• At least three years of office administration experience, ideally in a nonprofit environment.
• Completion of University/College/CEGEP or technical training in business administration, accounting, or bookkeeping.
• Understanding of employment standards legislation (ESA, MLTSD) and compliance.
• Experience with bookkeeping and computerized systems (QuickBooks and/or Sage).
• Dependable and reliable with ability to work with a variety of people.
• Commitment to the success of the theatre association through careful financial management and client service.

Responsabilidades

• Establish annual budgets with the Executive Director and monitor monthly projections.
• Prepare statistics and budgets for grant applications and maintain funding files (CADAC).
• Prepare financial records and reports, including internal statements and government reporting (e.g., Source Deductions, HST, T3010).
• Payroll administration for employees and contractors, including ROE and benefits program.
• All day-to-day bookkeeping: AR/AP, journal entries, bank deposits, reconciliations.
• Pre-audit preparation and liaison with auditors for year-end statements.
• Liaise with banks, insurers, and other professionals and oversee fund investments.
• Coordinate with the Finance Committee and support board meetings.
