Job summary

ourBRIDGE for Kids in Charlotte, NC is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This full-time, on-site role supports grant reporting, general ledger activities, and process improvements under the Director of Finance at our Shamrock Drive office.

You will handle daily transactions in QuickBooks Online, assist with budget-to-actual reporting, payroll processing via Paychex, and ensure audit-ready controls in line with federal guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Experience entering transactions in QuickBooks Online.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).

Responsibilities

• Process and record daily financial transactions in QuickBooks Online.
• Prepare and submit monthly federal grant reimbursement documentation.
• Track grant-funded expenses against approved budgets.
• Maintain internal controls for audit readiness per federal guidelines.
• Support month-end and annual close with the Director of Finance.
• Assist with budgeting for organization and grant projects.
• Support payroll processing via Paychex.
• Attend meetings and training required by grantors.
