Job summary

Children’s Institute, Inc. (CII) is seeking a Salesforce Administrator in California to manage the Nonprofit Cloud environment, reports, dashboards, and data quality. You will train staff, implement features, and coordinate with developers to deliver scalable solutions aligned with program goals.

The role requires 3+ years in Salesforce or CRM, nonprofit familiarity, and strong problem-solving. Expect collaborative work with program managers and adherence to agency standards.

Qualifications

• BA from an accredited university in business administration, general operations management, management science, information technology, statistics, or a related field.
• Three (3) or more years of experience working in Salesforce or other major CRM environment.
• Knowledge of social services and metrics used to measure services delivered, outcomes, and program impact.
• Experience managing large-scale projects and driving change initiatives, including efforts requiring as‑is process mapping and the design and rollout of new processes and standard operating procedures

Responsibilities

• Serves as primary system administrator for the Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud environment.
• Ensures the optimal performance of the Salesforce system and related business processes.
• Manages Salesforce roles, profiles, data-sharing rules, workflows, and licenses.
• Builds and maintains custom reports and dashboards.
• Performs database maintenance tasks, including diagnostic tests and duplicate entry cleansing.
• Evaluates and installs new Salesforce releases, and provides training and support to ensure full adoption.
• Designs and builds new reports and queries for users; maintains and supports a library of standard reports.
• Handles basic system administration functions, including maintenance, layouts, reports, and new fields.
• Gathers detailed requests for improvements and implements changes.
• Identifies, installs, and maintains appropriate apps from the Salesforce AppExchange.
• Automates business processes using Salesforce and other tools.
• Acts as liaison with Salesforce Developers and Consultants/Partners.
• Trains new users and documents Salesforce processes.
• Plans upgrades and long-term projects.
• Maintains client privacy and complies with policies.
