Job summary

Allies for Every Child in Florida seeks a Controller to lead all finance, accounting, and reporting activities, including payroll, grants administration, and GAAP reporting. Reporting to the CFO, you will drive audits, budgeting, internal controls, and financial systems improvements while guiding a team and collaborating with senior leadership.

A Master’s in finance or accounting and CPA are preferred; at least six years of experience in nonprofit finance with supervisory responsibilities are

Qualifications

• Master's degree in finance or accounting (preferred).
• CPA is value added.
• Six+ years of experience with financial systems in roles of increasing scope.

Responsibilities

• Directs the organization’s general accounting functions for the entire fiscal cycle; establishes accounting policies and controls.
• Directs financial reporting and analysis for GAAP, cash flow, and regulatory reporting; handles IRS 990.
• Directs all finance/audit processes including planning and execution of annual audits.
• Supports budgeting processes and implements cost-control systems.
• Builds strong relationships with banks and financial institutions.
