Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida seeks a Controller/VP of Finance to lead the finance department, overseeing budgeting, grant management, reporting, audits, taxes, and payroll. This hands-on role ensures strong internal controls and timely, accurate reporting to senior leadership and regulators.

The position drives implementation of a new finance system integrating Ramp, ADP, Salesforce and Martus, and collaborates with HR, Directors, and Grants to advance organizational priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field.
• Seven years of accounting experience, with at least two years at the Director/Controller level.
• Experience in nonprofit finance or mission-driven organizations with government grant funding required.
• Experience with grant management and compliance oversight.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now for Payroll.
• Experience with financial software such as Ramp, Salesforce, and Martus.
• Experience implementing Sage Intacct and integrating with financial software.

Responsibilities

• Compiles regular financial reports (budget variance reports, general ledger updates, etc.) to support management decision‑making.
• Delivers timely and accurate financial reports for internal and external use.
• Responsible for the month-end close process and timely reconciliation of all accounts.
• Identify and analyze financial trends reflecting efficiency and improvement opportunities.
• Develops SOPs, guidance documents, accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
• Monitors day-to-day accounting processes (AP, AR, payroll, revenue recognition, cash) for quality improvements.
• Manages coordination of Ramp, ADP, Martus, Salesforce, and ERP systems.
