Job summary

Regional East Texas Food Bank seeks a strategic Chief Financial Officer to lead all financial planning, reporting, audits, and budgeting. You will partner with the CEO and Senior Leadership to support the organization’s mission and growth in the Tyler region.

The role requires extensive nonprofit accounting, GAAP compliance, grant management, and the ability to develop dashboards and financial models to inform strategy and board decisions. Experience in food banking is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 15 years of full-time financial management experience in nonprofits.
• Experience in government grants management and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budget process and financial planning with SLT and Board committees.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and audit readiness (Single Audit and financial statements).
• Oversee grant management and reporting to funders.
• Develop financial dashboards and forecasting models for management and board.
• Coordinate financial systems upgrades and internal controls.
