Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) Northeast Nonprofit team seeks an Audit & Assurance Senior for an in-office role based in Livingston, NJ, with options in West Hartford, Shelton, or Woodcliff Lake offices.

You will lead nonprofit audit engagements, manage budgets, plan fieldwork, review procedures, and communicate findings to clients and management. A Bachelor's in Accounting and 2+ years public accounting are required; CPA eligibility preferred. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA eligibility is preferred.
• Two or more years of public accounting experience with emphasis in financial statement preparation, audits, reviews, and compilations is required.
• Prior experience with an established public accounting or professional services firm is preferred.
• Ability to travel to client sites which may require infrequent overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Executing and managing day-to-day activities of audit engagements for nonprofit clients, including budgeting, planning, fieldwork, directing staff, and completing financial statements and disclosures.
• Reviewing client accounting and operating procedures.
• Developing and assessing design and implementation of internal controls.
• Preparing necessary financial statements and related disclosures and reportable condition letters.
• Communicating technical matters to staff, management, and clients clearly.
