Job summary

Rogers & Company, a public accounting firm headquartered in Tysons Corner, VA, seeks an Audit Manager to lead nonprofit audit engagements, including Uniform Guidance audits and related attestation services. The role involves directing audit teams, training staff, and presenting findings to client executives and boards.

You will oversee planning, risk assessment, testing, and reporting while collaborating with partners to manage multiple client engagements and maintain high client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience leading audit engagements for nonprofit clients.
• Strong communication with clients and board-level stakeholders.
• Ability to train and develop staff and seniors while managing multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple audit teams through all phases of planning and completion.
• Collaborate with client teams on site or remotely to facilitate work.
• Prepare and review working papers and ensure compliance with standards.
• Draft and review reports, financial statements, footnotes, and board communications.
• Manage client service experience with proactive communication on progress and deliverables.
• Understand client operations and coordinate with tax and other services.
• Assist in training and mentoring audit staff and seniors.
• Collaborate on proposals, recruiting, and marketing activities.
• Maintain CPA CPE and contribute to staff development.
