Job summary

The Missouri Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Coordinator to join our finance team and support our mission through accurate management of accounts receivable.

The role is responsible for AR functions, financial allocations, reporting, and compliance within a faith-based nonprofit. A Associate’s degree and 3+ years in nonprofit accounting are preferred, with experience in Blackbaud or Financial Edge a plus.

Qualifications

Associate degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred.
3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience in nonprofit setting.
Experience with accounts receivable, revenue and cash processing.
Ability to maintain internal controls and support audits.

Responsibilities

Record revenue, receivables and cash processing in compliance with organizational policies.
Prepare allocations, tracking, reporting and reconciliations including prepaid and depreciation.
Assist Conference, district and local church staff with accounts receivable matters.
Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies; assist with audits and provide documentation.
Support with special projects and other duties as determined by the Finance Manager.
