Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience managing nonprofit accounting teams.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and nonprofit accounting.
• Hands-on grant accounting and restricted-fund experience.
• Experience with billing and accounts receivable.
• Experience coordinating financial statement audits.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals.
• Oversee general ledger accounting and close processes (monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and reporting.
• Oversee grant accounting, including expenditures, restricted funding, reporting, and compliance.
• Partner with internal teams to monitor grant budgets and spending.
• Manage billing, accounts receivable, collections, and related processes.
• Ensure revenue recognition and appropriate accounting treatment.
• Lead accounting activities for annual financial statement audit.
• Coordinate requests with external auditors.
• Oversee nonprofit tax compliance, including Form 990 support.
• Maintain accounting policies and internal controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial analysis.
• Improve accounting processes for timely reporting.
• Collaborate with leadership on accounting matters.
