Job summary

The Indiana University Foundation (IUF) Accounting & Finance team is seeking an Accounting Manager in Bloomington. You will maintain financial records, ensure GAAP compliance, and align operations with Foundation policies and reporting standards.

You will oversee monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, support audits, and coordinate Form 990/990-T filings, while mentoring a member of the accounting staff and collaborating with IUAA stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA or progress toward CPA a plus.
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Nonprofit, higher education, or foundation experience preferred.
• Supervisory or mentoring experience preferred.
• Experience supporting audits and preparing audit schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain integrity of financial records and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting with variance analyses for leadership.
• Coordinate standalone annual audit and Form 990/990-T filings; gather documentation and prepare audit schedules.
• Act as liaison between IUAA and IUF Finance; supervise staff and support professional development.
