Community Development for All People (CD4AP) seeks an Accounting Director to steward financial health, guide governance reporting, and ensure grant compliance. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and day-to-day accounting across multiple entities, while mentoring the Accounting Coordinator.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and financial reporting software.
• Experience managing multi-entity accounting and grant compliance in a nonprofit setting.
• Experience preparing budgets, forecasts, and leading annual audits.
• Strong internal controls and process improvement mindset.
• Experience supervising accounting staff.

Responsibilities

• Strategic financial oversight from budget prep to forecasting and financial statement accuracy across entities.
• Grant and compliance stewardship, managing grant agreements and audit readiness.
• Treasury and daily operations including cash flow, banking relations, AP and payroll.
• Reporting to Finance Committee and Board with clear, actionable insights.
• Mentor and supervise Accounting Coordinator to foster accuracy and teamwork.
