Zusammenfassung

Alzheimer’s Community Care in Florida is seeking a Director of Accounting to oversee daily financial operations, including general ledger, payroll, AR/AP, and revenue and expense management. Reporting to the CFO, you will lead GAAP financial reporting, budgeting, audits, and internal controls, while guiding staff and ensuring compliance with nonprofit funding requirements.

This role requires nonprofit accounting experience and strong leadership.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CPA designation or MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 3–10 years of progressive accounting or financial management experience.
• Previous supervisory or accounting leadership experience required.
• Experience in nonprofit accounting and fund accounting strongly preferred.

Aufgaben

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and revenue and expense management.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP for nonprofit organizations.
• Maintain accurate accounting records, including journal entries, reconciliations, allocations, distributions, and vendor payments.
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard organizational assets and ensure financial accuracy.
• Coordinate annual financial audits, including preparation of supporting documentation and IRS Form 990 reporting.
• Assist the CFO with annual budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial analysis.
• Oversee billing processes to ensure accurate revenue recognition and timely collections.
• Review biweekly payroll processing in coordination with Human Resources and ensure compliance.
