Your Part-Time Controller, LLC is hiring a Staff Accountant to support nonprofit clients in the Bay Area. The role blends on-site and remote work within a 35-hour work week, with potential promotion to Controller as you grow with the firm.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience, a passion for nonprofit missions, and strong Excel and QuickBooks skills. Travel to client offices is required periodically.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience required; nonprofit or outsourced accounting preferred.
• Strong interest in supporting nonprofit organizations.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software; QuickBooks a plus; Excel skills strong.
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Weekly and monthly processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
• Bank reconciliations and balance sheet reviews
• Monthly financial statements and related analysis
• Grant tracking and monitoring
• Cash flow projections and monitoring
• Preparation for outside audits
