Job summary

Radius Recycling is seeking a Recycling Operations Supervisor (ROS) to oversee nonferrous receiving, processing, and shipping operations with a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality. The role reports to the Recycling Operations Manager and aligns with HR and maintenance staff to ensure compliant, productive operations.

The ROS will manage inventory, coordinate personnel and equipment, and engage with the buying group to meet material procurement needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and basic math skills.
• Minimum 3 years metal recycling industry experience.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to drive.
• Thorough knowledge of NF Materials Grading; strong judgment and interpersonal skills.
• Past supervisory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe work practices in accordance with OSHA and company safety policies; provide a safe environment for all employees, customers, and visitors.
• Direct, evaluate, schedule, and coordinate equipment and personnel for daily nonferrous operations.
• Coordinate material pricing, quotes, grading, processing, sales, and shipment related to nonferrous operations.
• Maintain inventory and quality control; prepare Time & Weight analyses and document processing times.
• Oversee reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities; partner with commercial operations to optimize inventory and capacity.
• Interviews prospective management and production staff; collaborates with HR for job descriptions.
