Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience supervising in scrap-metal, recycling, or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of nonferrous metals and material identification.
• Experience with scrap sorting, grading, processing, inventory control, and QA.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily nonferrous yard and processing operations.
• Lead and train staff ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.
• Oversee sorting, grading, processing, storage, and shipment.
• Ensure materials are identified, separated, and meet specs.
• Monitor quality, reduce contamination and inventory discrepancies.
• Coordinate assignments, workflow, and production priorities.
• Conduct safety meetings and enforce safety policies.
• Complete inventory counts and maintain material records.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment when needed.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, commercial, and transport.
• Prepare production reports and required paperwork.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Assist management with improving production and material flow.
