Job summary

American Iron and Metal is seeking a Non-Ferrous Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our non-ferrous division. You will drive safety, efficiency, and production while developing our team and maintaining inventory accuracy.

You will influence KPIs, coach staff, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to support growth of a high-value operation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in non-ferrous recycling or metals processing.
• Experience leading warehouse/production/industrial operations teams.
• Proven ability to coach and develop employees and improve performance.
• Experience managing inventory, metrics, and reporting.

Responsibilities

As the Non-Ferrous Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of our non-ferrous division, ensuring safe, efficient, and productive processing of materials. This role is responsible for driving operational performance, developing team members, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting the continued growth of the business.

What you're responsible for:

• Leading the daily operations of the non-ferrous warehouse, including receiving, sorting, processing, and storing materials.
• Driving a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all company policies and environmental, health, and safety standards.
• Managing inventory levels, monitoring inventory turnover, and maintaining inventory accuracy through regular audits and reporting.
• Developing, tracking, and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
• Coaching, mentoring, and developing a team of employees to support engagement, performance, and growth.
• Identifying opportunities to improve workflows, material handling processes, and overall operational performance.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to support business objectives while overseeing a high-value non-ferrous operation.
