Job summary

Onward Technologies Limited seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer with expertise in NDT and Welding to support supplier quality activities for Energy and Power Generation projects. The role focuses on supplier qualification, welding and NDT compliance, manufacturing inspections, and quality assurance for fabricated components and power equipment.

Responsibilities include audits, reviewing WPS/PQR/WPQ, NDT coordination, ITPs, CAPA, NCRs, and collaboration with engineering and suppliers to meet ASME,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Welding, Materials, or Metallurgical Engineering.
• 5+ years of supplier quality, welding, or NDT experience in Power Generation, Energy, Oil & Gas, or EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of ASME Section V, VIII, IX, B31.1/B31.3, AWS D1.1, and ISO 9001.
• Experience interpreting fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and manufacturing documentation.
• Willingness to travel to supplier facilities for audits and inspections.

• Review and approve WPS, PQR, WPQ, weld maps, MTRs, and inspection documentation.
• Coordinate and witness NDT activities (RT, UT, MT, PT, VT) and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Review Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), FAT reports, pressure test reports, and quality records.
• Drive supplier corrective actions (CAPA), resolve NCRs, and support root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering, sourcing, and suppliers to ensure compliance with ASME, AWS, ISO, and customer quality standards.
