Job summary

Thesis Pharmacy in Plano, TX is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to prepare non-sterile compounds under direct supervision, and to manage labels, documentation, and dispensing records. The role requires Texas license, strong data entry, and excellent communication with healthcare teams.

IV certification is highly preferred, with opportunities to learn specialty medications workflow and to work in a fast-paced setting while providing high-quality patient service.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a Texas-certified Pharmacy Technician license.
  • Previous experience in a compounding pharmacy is required.
  • IV certification is highly preferred.
  • Strong data entry and computer skills are required.
  • Ability to work under supervision in a fast-paced environment and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare non-sterile compounds under supervision according to SOPs, USP, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare labels and documentation.
  • Maintain operations and dispensing records.
  • Fill pharmacy orders and maintain accurate dispensing records.
  • Communicate clearly with internal/external departments and physician offices.
  • Handle outbound/inbound calls from patients, vendors, and medical personnel.
  • Maintain inventory and utilize PK software as applicable.
  • Comply with HIPAA/PHI and related regulations.
  • Learn specialty medications workflow.
  • Work well in a team or independently with minimal supervision.
