Job summary

HealthWealth Pharmacy in Houston, TX is seeking a skilled Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated team. This role focuses on sterile compounding, precise measurements, and adherence to USP 795/797/800 guidelines to ensure patient safety.

You will assist pharmacists with verification, labeling, and quality checks, manage inventory, document logs, and provide excellent customer and provider support in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license is required.
• Experience in compounding pharmacy preferred.
• Knowledge of USP 795, USP 797, and/or USP 800 guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with pharmacy management software and compounding equipment.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred.
• Excellent communication and patient-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and compound customized sterile medications according to physician prescriptions and established formulas
• Accurately measure, mix, and package compounded preparations including creams, capsules, solutions, and suspensions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant compounding environment following USP 795 and USP 797 guidelines
• Assist pharmacists with prescription verification, labeling, and quality control checks
• Manage inventory of compounding ingredients, supplies, and equipment
• Document compounding records and maintain accurate logs in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Provide excellent customer service and support to patients and healthcare providers
