Job summary

LEAN ON ME INDY LLC in Avon, IN is seeking an in-home caregiver to provide compassionate, personalized care in clients' homes. You will assist with daily living activities, ensure safety, and promote independence, while delivering tailored support based on each client's needs.

Schedule is part-time, 27 hours weekly (6 hours over three days and 3 evenings), driving clients in your own vehicle, with a meet-and-greet before a formal offer. Must have a valid driver's license and insurance.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• TB test (negative) is required.
• Experience in home health care is a plus but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility.
• Monitor health and report changes to agency staff.
• Provide medication reminders and assist with meals.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to promote well-being.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment with light housekeeping.
• Assist with transportation to appointments and errands.
• Document care activities and client observations accurately.

Job description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In-Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in their own homes. This vital role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence while delivering personalized care tailored to each person’s unique needs. Avon location is looking for a non-smoker, loves cats, able to drive the client in your personal vehicle to appointments, errands, and activities.

Weekly hours are a total of 27 per the client’s waiver. Schedule would be 6 hours a day 3 days a week (days are flexible), and 3 evenings Tues/Thursday/Saturday, 4-7 pm.

Must have a driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a personal vehicle.

A meet-and-greet will be required with the client before a final job offer.

Duties

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Monitor patients’ health by observing changes and reporting findings accurately and promptly to agency staff.
• Medication reminders, prepare nutritious meals, and assist with feeding as needed.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in social activities and communication to promote mental well-being.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces.
• Support clients in assisting with transportation for appointments or errands.
• Document all care activities accurately in client records, including patient observations, medication reminders, and any incidents or changes in condition.

Experience

• Certification in CPR and a negative TB test are required.
• Prior experience working in home health care, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes is a plus but not necessary to apply.
• Demonstrated ability to provide patient personal care assistance and support individuals with disabilities.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensures compliance with privacy standards during all caregiving activities.
• Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams are essential to success in this role.
