Job Summary: Geisinger's Heart & Vascular Institute seeks an invasive or non-invasive cardiologist to join the Geisinger Gray's Woods practice in State College, Pennsylvania.
Job Duties: Geisinger is an integrated health system serving communities in Northeast and Central Pennsylvania. The Cardiovascular Division focuses on improving outcomes through clinical expertise, data, and innovative delivery systems.
Known as "Happy Valley," State College offers small-town charm with vibrant college-town activities. The region features nightlife, shopping, outdoor activities like mountain biking, golf, running, fishing, skiing, and cultural events at venues such as The State Theatre, Tussey Mountain Amphitheater, and the Bryce Jordan Center. Education is highly valued, with top-ranked public and private schools and Penn State University. Conveniently, the University Park Airport provides flights to Newark, La Guardia, and Philadelphia, with easy access to Interstate-80 for travel.
Join a team of 9 cardiologists and advanced practitioners at Geisinger Gray's Woods, supported by Mount Nittany Medical Center. The practice includes state-of-the-art outpatient cardiac diagnostics such as stress tests, echocardiography, ambulatory monitoring, cardiac CT with FFR, and cardiac MRI. It benefits from a large referral network of primary care providers, offering a robust practice environment with 1:5 call coverage and inpatient hospitalist services.
