UPMC Altoona, PA Becomes First HeartCARE Center in the UPMC System

Opportunity Details:

1. Join a cardiology practice with 2 interventionalists, 1 non-invasive cardiologist, 2 electrophysiologists, and 1 heart failure specialist.
2. Practice is an established clinic with a solid patient base.
3. The team includes 4 PAs and 2 nurse practitioners.
4. The clinic is located 1.5 miles from UPMC Altoona hospital.
5. Additional clinic hours are scheduled at neighboring UPMC Bedford hospital.
6. Altoona clinic features a comprehensive pacemaker clinic.
7. Enjoy a good inpatient and outpatient work balance with a work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
8. The call schedule is 1:5.
9. Candidates must be board certified or eligible if recent graduates.

Details about the Cardiology Department:

Altoona's team includes a vascular and cardiothoracic surgeon who are part of UPMC's Heart & Vascular Institute.

The cath lab in the hospital served over 3,000 patients and added TAVR and Watchman procedures in 2019.

Compensation:
