Job summary

VA Texas Valley Coastal Bend Health Care System seeks a Physician (Cardiologist Non-Invasive) for the South Enterprise VA Clinic in Corpus Christi, TX. The Cardiologist will provide comprehensive cardiac care, educate patients, and participate in clinical research within Cardiology.

This role offers an Educational Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) and potential recruitment/relocation incentives. The candidate must meet basic requirements including MD degree, unrestricted license, residency training,

Qualifications

• Must have U.S. citizenship and full, unrestricted medical license.
• MD degree from an approved school and board eligibility/certification.
• State license to practice medicine in the U.S. required.
• Residency training in an approved core specialty with eligibility for board certification.
• English language proficiency required for patient care and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for cardiology patients in ambulatory and clinic settings.
• Document care in the electronic medical record and generate orders as appropriate.
• Perform and interpret cardiology tests and collaborate with other disciplines as needed.
• Educate patients and families on medical conditions and treatment options.
• Participate in program/department initiatives and quality improvement efforts.
• Provide education and supervision for residents and trainees as assigned.
