Cardiologist - Inherited Cardiovasular Disease & HCM Experience – Hartford, CT

Hartford HealthCare’s Heart & Vascular Institute, located in Connecticut, is seeking a full-time board certified/board eligible Non-Invasive Cardiology physician with Inherited Cardiovascular Disease and HCM experience to join a team of highly trained cardiovascular specialists.Focus on delivering superb clinical care to a diverse, medically complex patient population in both the in-patient and outpatient arenas, supported by the highest-caliber cardiovascular invasive, diagnostic, and surgical services in a collaborative and multidisciplinary setting.

The Hartford HealthCare Inherited Cardiovascular Disease Program (ICDP) is a multidisciplinary program for the care and management of patients with inherited cardiomyopathies, inherited arrhythmia syndromes, neuromuscular disease-related cardiomyopathy and aortopathies/connective tissue diseases involving the aorta.

About the Position:

Proficiency in nuclear, exercise and pharmacological stress testing, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, and carotid ultrasound studies is required. This opportunity includes in-patient and outpatient roles in the Hartford Region (Hartford Hospital and satellite offices) and the East Region (Backus Hospital and satellite offices). The role provides consultative and follow-up care to adult cardiovascular patients.

The successful candidate will have interest, training and experience in the work-up, diagnosis and treatment of ICD patients.In collaboration with the Program Director and a dedicated cardiac genetic counselor, the candidate will initiate an Inherited Cardiovascular Disease Clinic in the East Region.There are extensive clinical research opportunities available.Research experience is a plus!
