Hartford HealthCare’s Heart & Vascular Institute (HVI) is seeking a full-time board certified/board eligible Non-Invasive Cardiology physician with Inherited Cardiovascular Disease experience to lead a team of highly trained cardiovascular specialists as Medical Director of the Inherited Cardiovascular Disease Program (ICDP). Focus on delivering superb clinical care to a diverse, medically complex patient population in both the in-patient and outpatient arenas, supported by the highest-caliber cardiovascular invasive, diagnostic, and surgical services in a collaborative and multidisciplinary setting.
The Hartford HealthCare Inherited Cardiovascular Disease Program (ICDP) is a multidisciplinary program for the care and management of patients with inherited cardiomyopathies, inherited arrhythmia syndromes, neuromuscular disease-related cardiomyopathy, and aortopathies/connective tissue diseases involving the aorta.
About the Position:
Proficiency in nuclear, exercise and pharmacological stress testing, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, and carotid ultrasound studies is required. This opportunity includes in-patient and outpatient roles in the Hartford Region (Hartford Hospital and satellite offices) and oversight of the program across the system of Hartford HealthCare's Heart & Vascular Institute (HVI). The role provides consultative and follow-up care to adult cardiovascular patients.
The successful candidate will have interest, training, and experience in the work-up, diagnosis, and treatment of ICD patients. Working with a dedicated cardiac genetic counselor, the candidate will continue to develop the Inherited Cardiovascular Disease program for the HVI. There are extensive clinical research opportunities available, and research experience is required.
