Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an approved medical school.
- Residency in Internal Medicine (ACGME/AOA accredited).
- Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology required or equivalent.
- Demonstrated interventional cardiology experience.
Responsibilities
- Works collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being.
- Practices in a thoughtful manner including cultural diversity and autonomy.
- Manages complex cardiac conditions such as heart attacks and dangerous rhythms.
- Manages diseases of the heart and blood vessels.
- May perform cardiac imaging (echocardiography, CT, MRI, nuclear) if certified.
- Participates in multidisciplinary team case management.
- Uses quality improvement tools to enhance care delivery and outcomes.
- May participate in peer review and quality assurance.
