Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a Non-Ferrous Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the non-ferrous division in our Phoenix, AZ facility. You will ensure safe, efficient processing, drive inventory accuracy, and support growth through strong KPI reporting and team development.

You will coach a team, improve workflows, and collaborate with stakeholders to sustain high-value operations. This role emphasizes safety, performance, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in non-ferrous recycling or metals processing.
• Experience grading/sorting non-ferrous metals ( aluminum, copper, brass, stainless steel ).
• Proven leadership of warehouse/production/industrial operations teams.
• Ability to develop employees and improve performance.
• Experience managing inventory, metrics, and operational efficiency.
• Safety-focused with a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the non-ferrous warehouse: receiving, sorting, processing, storage.
• Drive safety culture and ensure compliance with EH&S standards.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and conduct regular audits.
• Develop, track, and report KPIs to boost productivity and efficiency.
• Coach and mentor a team to support engagement and growth.
• Identify and implement workflow/process improvements for better throughput.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align with business objectives.

Job Description

As the Non-Ferrous Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of our non-ferrous division, ensuring safe, efficient, and productive processing of materials. This role is responsible for driving operational performance, developing team members, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting the continued growth of the business.

What you're responsible for:

• Leading the daily operations of the non-ferrous warehouse, including receiving, sorting, processing, and storing materials.
• Driving a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all company policies and environmental, health, and safety standards.
• Managing inventory levels, monitoring inventory turnover, and maintaining inventory accuracy through regular audits and reporting.
• Developing, tracking, and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
• Coaching, mentoring, and developing a team of employees to support engagement, performance, and growth.
• Identifying opportunities to improve workflows, material handling processes, and overall operational performance.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to support business objectives while overseeing a high-value non-ferrous operation.

Qualifications
