Job summary

OmniSource in Ohio is looking for a hands-on Operations Associate to help maintain plant operations, including picking, sorting, equipment operation, and cleaning. You will operate forklift and skid loader and perform daily equipment inspections and fueling.

You will assist in purchasing, sorting, and packaging NF materials, and support inventory tracking to meet perpetual inventory goals while adhering to safety regulations and weather-related demands.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more repetitively.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Must be a self-motivated team player, anxious and willing to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple types of equipment including forklift and skid loader.
• Inspect Equipment prior to operation, fuel, lubricate daily.
• Assist in the purchasing, sorting, and packaging of NF materials
• Assist Supervisor with identification and tracking of all inventory upgrades and changes in classification to assist with perpetual inventory goals.
• All other duties as assigned by NF Supervisor
• A clear understanding and adherence to safety regulations
