Job summary

OmniSource in Ohio is seeking a motivated General Laborer to support scrap sorting, cleaning, and equipment maintenance. You will follow safety protocols and work as part of a team to keep the facility running smoothly and safely.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule (6:00 AM–4:00 PM) with potential weekend coverage, a weekly incentive bonus, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and a 401(k) plan with company match. Prior forklift or skid steer experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in varied weather and physical environments.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more repetitively.
• Strong teamwork and willingness to learn safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sort scrap materials on the line to improve quality and efficiency.
• Clean up spillage from conveyors using mobile equipment and hand tools.
• Maintain and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Adhere to safety standards and keep the work area safe for all.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors to support operations.
