Job summary

OmniSource in Kentucky is seeking a hands-on Material Handler to operate forklift and skid loader, perform daily inspections, and support production flow.

You will assist in purchasing, sorting, and packaging NF materials, help track inventory changes, and collaborate with the supervisor to maintain accurate perpetual inventory.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and skid loader and support daily production needs.
• Inspect equipment prior to use and perform routine fueling and lubrication.
• Assist in purchasing, sorting and packaging NF materials.
• Help Supervisor identify and track inventory upgrades and changes.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by NF Supervisor.

Overview

Maintain Plant operations including but not limited to picking, sorting, equipment operation, and cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple types of equipment including forklift and skid loader.
• Inspect Equipment prior to operation, fuel, lubricate daily.
• Assist in the purchasing, sorting, and packaging of NF materials
• Assist Supervisor with identification and tracking of all inventory upgrades and changes in classification to assist with perpetual inventory goals.
• All other duties as assigned by NF Supervisor

• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
• Ability to stand/work for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more repetitively on a regular basis
• Must be self-motivated team player, anxious and willing to learn new skills
