Qualifications

• 2–3 years experience in the traffic/transportation industry.
• Highly detail-oriented.
• Excellent communication skills to manage communications between carriers, facilities, traders, vendors, suppliers.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch non-ferrous truck shipments.
• Negotiate freight rates with carriers to minimize costs.
• Ensure on-time pick-up and delivery between facilities and broker accounts.
• Monitor carrier performance and manage communications between parties.
• Maintain freight invoices and rate database.
• Back up other traffic coordinators as needed.
• Assist with special projects as requested.
