Metal Exchange seeks a Logistics Coordinator for its Primary Aluminum business unit at the St. Louis, MO headquarters.

The role focuses on negotiating with freight companies, coordinating warehouse releases, and shipping metal to customers while building strong counterparties relationships. Ideal candidate has a BS in supply chain/transportation or related field, 1–3 years of experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, transportation, and customer service.
• 1–3 years of relevant professional experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule loads with transportation vendors and reschedule as needed.
• Issue dispatch documentation to carriers.
• Track and trace shipments and communicate with internal stakeholders.
• Negotiate favorable rates and services to move shipments by truck, rail, barge, or ocean.
• Record shipment details in company systems of record.
• Dispatch shipments to carriers per customer requirements.
• Assist in resolving freight invoice discrepancies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with third party transportation and warehouse providers.
• Update Order Status spreadsheet with purchase, sale, and inventory allocations.
• Provide backup support for Supply Chain Coordinator responsibilities.
