Job summary

Community Medical Centers is seeking a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver to provide safe, reliable transport for patients from pickup to drop-off. You will verify destinations, assist with mobility, and maintain a clean vehicle while delivering courteous service.

Responsibilities

In this role, you'll transport individuals to and from medical appointments, verify destinations, follow assigned routes and schedules and assist passengers with boarding, disembarking and mobility needs. You'll complete routine vehicle inspections, maintain a clean and safe vehicle environment, secure mobility equipment and report maintenance concerns as needed. You'll also communicate with dispatch, passengers and healthcare providers, accurately complete required documentation, maintain confidentiality and provide courteous, professional service during every interaction.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE), or CHS-approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
• 3 years of driving experience with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for the past 3 years required

Licenses and Certifications

• DL - Valid California Driver's License and driving record acceptable to Community Health System (Class "C") required
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
• PASS - Passenger Assistance, Safety, and Sensitivity Certification by Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA) required within 1 month of hire or transfer into position
